Carol Brekus-Watson, MSN, CNM
A New Jersey native, Carol attended Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts before continuing on to Boston University School of Nursing. In 1988, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing in Maternal Child Health from the Yale University School of Nursing. Prior to joining County Ob/Gyn, she worked as a Nurse Midwife at Community Health Care Plan in New Haven.
Carol has been a valued member of County Ob/Gyn since 1996 and currently serves as our Chief Midwife. Her clinical expertise includes well-woman gynecology, antepartum and postpartum care, contraceptive management, and perimenopause/menopause. In addition to delivering babies, she is an Associate Professor at the Yale University Nursing Program, where she helps train the next generation of midwives.
She has a passion for travel and especially enjoys visiting Paris whenever she can. Carol lives in Madison with her husband and cherishes spending time with her two children, their spouses, and one very special grandson.
