Alexandra Stenstrom, MSN, CNM
Born in Stockholm, Sweden and raised in Connecticut, Alex earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Universiy of Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude in 2018. She began her career as a perinatal nurse in Pittsburgh and Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and later served as a labor and delivery nurse on a high-risk unit caring for the West Philadelphia community. In 2023, she returned to University of Pennsylvania to complete her Master of Science in Nursing with a dual focus in Midwifery and Women's Health-Gender-Related Nurse Practitioner.
After nearly a decade in Philadelphia, Alex is excited to join County Ob/Gyn and relocate closer to her family. She is passionate about all aspects of labor and birth, and is dedicated to providing holistic, accessible midwifery care to every client. Her clinical interests include reproductive access, gender-affirming healthcare, comprehensive well-person care across the lifespan, and ante- and postpartum care.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys trying new restaurants, visiting museums, reading, hiking, and spending time with her friends, family, and Portuguese Water Dog, Sally.
